The study for the renovation of the seafront was prepared in coordination with the one for the Northern sector by Alcino Soutinho.

a) Construction of the retaining wall establishing the limit of the beach using apparent concrete; rehabilitation of the existing wall and staircase.

b) Construction of promenade and bicycle road.

c) Rehabilitation of the vegetal covering of the dunes.

d) Pedestrian walks across the dunes in granite paving.

e) Construction of car parks.

f) Rehabilitation and paving in asphalt concrete.

g) Rehabilitation of the setting of the existing obelisk.

h) Planning of flowerbeds of the eastern pedestrian area.

i) Planting of trees along the car park.

j) Construction of all infrastructure networks.

k) Construction of beach amenities.

l) Construction of a sea water swimming pool.

m) Planning of amenities to be constructed on the dunes (Restaurant, Recreation Centre and Bar, with respective beach facilities, including Cafeteria and outdoor terrrace).

n) Football Field.

It is our view that the Football Field should not be planned for the Intervention Area. Should its construction be undertaken, it will be so in the least disturbing location for the dunes.
